Brain to Brain Intelligence

A network of communications by some form of telepathy: yes, brain to brain connectivity (B2B) perhaps sounds like science fiction, but, I believe that the prospect of ‘B2B Connectivity’ is not that far into the future. Perhaps, over the eons of time, we have lost the gift of telepathy, but occasionally the ability resurfaces to astound us in its appearance?

It happens, don’t you agree: especially when we are in ‘tune’ so to speak with each other we then sometimes experience a form of telepathy. Why this should happen is a mystery, but then so is the universe? You have to wonder; if you can easily be ‘thinking the same thought(s)’ that how easily it is to go one step further into the realm of thought control. You perhaps, may be thinking ‘that is not possible’ well, look all around you there are subliminal messages present in all forms of propaganda. Ask yourself this question: Why is it charities look after the homeless and not the government, aren’t we all citizens?

At present we currently understand about 10% of the human brain and the other 90% is mostly conjecture and mystery. Human intelligence is so divergent from Darwin’s theory of natural selection that God or someone threw a spanner into the works because, otherwise, intelligence would be randomly occurring in nature. Remember, random thoughts where do they come from, who's pulling the strings?

One of the Rarest Elements in the Universe But We Use It Like There's No Tomorrow

Well, I guess you would like know what the element is? You will be surprised to know because we use it like there’s no tomorrow. It is one of the rarest elements in the universe because it takes an extremely hot and large explosion of a sun about hundred times the size of our sun to produce these heavy elements. If an alien force decided to visit our planet they would find the earth has an abundant amount of this element that we use as if there’s no tomorrow. The next time you’re drinking from a can just think about the aluminium to produce that can was born in one of the rarest events in the universe.

Time Travel is it Possible?

It's possible that time travel has existed since time began? Let me explain: Since the dawn of man as an intelligent species man has wondered and pondered on its relationship with time. This is evident from ancient stone henges and circles accurately aligned to record the passing of time from one equinox to another. The greatest philosophers in history have debated man’s existence and its relationship with time. Our time began when the ‘Big Bang’ occurred.  The universe could be viewed as a bubble that is expanding. We view time as a linear relationship because that’s how we perceive time as moving forward and backward in a straight line. But, in nature there are no straight lines even space is curved. So, this could suggest that perhaps time travel is possible.

Imagine, ripples in the vacuum of space just like the motion of the sea. Einstein’s concept of ‘space time’ where the mass of an object and its gravity would bend space and light is known. Then there’s ‘Dark Matter’ all over the universe invisible to the naked eye but it’s there. Perhaps, the shape of the universe should be viewed as a sponge and time can be squeezed just like space and light allowing for time travel. It’s only an idea, but when you think about how we travel around a circle the shortest distance between opposite points will always be the diameter which can be squeezed to almost zero between any two points. The almost bit and not quite zero is the ‘Rosen Bridge’ theorized by Einstein and others as a 'wormhole' between space time.  Where are these ‘wormholes’ is a mystery, but they could be everywhere, right under our noses? Just because you cannot see something does not mean it doesn’t exist. Forget about the concept of ‘Zero’ or 'Nothing' as this was man’s invention to aid the counting and recording of numbers. Just remember, that ‘Nothing’ does not exist. “Beam me up Scotty….”

Enjoy Your Time at University!

How to Pass a Degree with Confidence
A study guide for a university or college degree.

Anthony Fox MSc BSc Hons

Read my funny account of life at University.  Well, I hope you find some parts funny; otherwise, I will eat my hat.  I studied Artificial Intelligence and realised its potential. Learn how to score more goals than Casanova. Need I go on and say more? So, take your hand out of the cookie jar and read my story.

The Village, New York City

Here is a list of stories included in “How to Pass a Degree with Confidence” they are not in any order, purely random.

To be or not to be

It’s never too late

We don't all wear the same shoes

We have all the time in the world

Sat there like a Cheshire cat

There’s a bit more meat on the bone

More stress than a chaining smoking nurse

The golden rule

How I got my T-Shirt

A girl came knocking on my window

Realise your potential it’s within you to succeed. Your success is not proportional to the effort you put in, that part is purely random.

I can win the lottery in a second, but spend a lifetime finding a cure for cancer. Which is more rewarding?

I devote a chapter in my book to: why students fail with explanation and examples so that you don’t fail?

Plus: the number one topic you should understand, it could mean the difference between passing and failing?

The book “How to Pass a Degree with Confidence” also includes the following:

A study guide including:  How to write your project or dissertation, exam preparation, how to research, time management, how to reference correctly, critical thinking, how to study, how to revise, a girl game knocking at my window, how to build confidence, the need to set goals, a student perspective, how to cope with stress, how to cope with meagre funds, score more goals than Casanova, top tips for university, and much more.

Readers' comments
"very well written and organized tutorials…its indeed a great help for beginners like me to keep up the interest and at the same time learn this important subject."

"Brilliant. One of the very best I have read. Well written, with style and intelligence. I have spent hours looking for erotica like this... ."

An interesting; innovative, motivating self-help book on how to pass a university degree with confidence, by providing not only the do’s and don’ts, but also an insightful and fascinating personal experience. It was written using the author’s experience gained as a student representative as well as the achievement of gaining an MSc and a BSc Honours degree. Comprehensive and detailed information is provided, to help those individuals contemplating an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree visualise and achieve their goals.

Each chapter recalls a personal experience that helps to reinforce the academic topic. Every important academic aspect is covered to help you achieve what you want.

Casinos are a Mug's Game

Casinos are a mug's game. Yes, folks, the minute you step inside a casino either online or in the flesh you are classed as a mug. Just think, that’s how they built Las Vegas and every granny in the land has paid the price, not to mention, the future generation, whom have missed out because you lost their inheritance for being a mug. Sorry, to be so blunt, but unless I am blunt and truthful you perhaps will not listen to my words.

Kenny Rogers - The Gambler

Casinos can be fun places don’t get me wrong; they have the glamour and excitement of winning more than you started with. But, what we should remember is that most games of chance have fixed betting odds and these always guarantee the casinos that they make money ~ your money. So, do you see what I am trying to say, if you don’t have an edge and without an edge you are dead, so to speak.

Because, whatever way you shake it, you cannot beat the fixed odds betting games of chance. Sure, I know about blackjack and how it can pay if you follow the basic strategy rules and you are not betting against fixed odds betting machines rather than a live dealer, then, perhaps you have a chance against the house. Otherwise, for the most part, you are a mug in a casino and the only realistic chance of beating the odds is in sports betting where you are pitting your experience against the bookmakers.

I know from personal experience, because my uncle was a bookie and trained and ran greyhounds. If you’re going to gamble then sports’ betting is the only edge in town, but, remember, "Don’t risk your shirt on a bet, unless you need a new one."

Your Data: Is It Secure?

Recent news stories have revealed how insecure your personal data is and handled by some companies.  Security is not brain surgery; you just need to think logically. For instance: A database should be encrypted it’s as simple as that. Any application interfacing with the database would need the encrypted key to interface with the database. So, in most cases the data is secure from outside or inside illegal data access.

4 Non Blondes - What's Up

I know from personal experience the moment you encrypt your database and sometime later forget the password (which is normally encrypted as well) you are usually stuffed. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than deciphering the key (your password is normally used as an encrypted key to access the database) to your database.

The recent case of TalkTalk highlights the need for many companies to encrypt their databases to prevent costly legal implications from customers and organisations. Just because you didn’t do it, doesn’t mean you are not liable.

There is no practical or economic reason why any databases that should be protected are not. Databases that use encrypted keys for access are more efficient and the latency on access is on par with an unprotected database.

The Search for Enlightenment

The search for enlightenment can take many different paths for the individual concerned, but in the end our progress through life should be with nature and not against it. Throughout history many great inspirational people have strived in their time to influence mankind to make the world a better place to live in. Some of the greatest advances in technology, medicine, and science have come about through the enlightenment of individuals who have said that they received their inspiration from their dreams or the practice of meditation.

Steve Jobs (Apple fame) said that he found the inspiration for the iPhone from the practice of meditation. There are many more examples where the subconscious has played a major role in illuminating the minds of great inventors. Why our subconscious mind acts in this way is a mystery, but then again so is the universe.

Click Below and Listen

Currently, science cannot answer the mystery of our subconscious or indeed how thoughts are generated in the conscious mind. Philosophers over the centuries have pondered on the mystery of the subconscious and the conscious mind in an effort to rationalise human thought and its existence without much success. René Descartes (philosopher, mathematician, and scientist) said, “cogito ergo sum,” translated into English: “I think, therefore I am,” which means if I doubted my existence than either someone else is doing the doubting or I exist. Descartes believed that sensory perceptions were spontaneous; and of free will, and so came to him from a world outside his mind, and that God would not deceive him.

On the other hand, there are those who do not believe in God, for example: Richard Dawkins (evolutionary biologist and author) who wrote a bestselling book (The God Delusion) denouncing the existence of God based primarily on the conjecture that because science cannot prove scientifically that God exists, it therefore stands to reason that God does not exist or at least that was the inference of his reasoning throughout the book.

The problem in my view is this: Take the (QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter by Richard P. Feynman) who won the Nobel Prize for the revolutionary scientific theory on quantum electrodynamics (QED) which states that an electron can be measured at being in two different places at the same time seemingly opposite to how your brain would like it to be.  Now, before this theory was verified and proved you would have said it’s crazy for something to exist in different places at the same time.

Now, consider the vacuum of space in the universe. To create a vacuum on earth we need a container (a beginning and an end) otherwise we have no vacuum. So, I have just proved that to create a vacuum anywhere in the universe you need a container. So, again the universe is a vacuum which must have a beginning and an end (container) otherwise there is no vacuum.

I cannot prove the existence of God, but I have just demonstrated how our universe has limitations beyond what we can see.  Jesus said, “Why do those that have seen not believe in me” referring to those people who had witnessed his miracles, yet refused to believe in him. These people I would class as automatons that have not enlightened their minds.

Update: On My Latest Book

Currently, my third book is in the process of being edited. So, when that is done and I make my final corrections or re-writes it is off to the publisher. In the meantime, I have started work on my fourth book a science fiction novel. I don’t know why I chose that particular genre? I just decided that it seemed like a good idea. So, we shall see how this decision pans out. I have always been a fan of the science fiction genre since a boy when I was fascinated by the books of Carl Sagan.

Today, I like most genres when comes to novels and a good mix of nonfiction. I don’t think there’s a hard and fast rule for writing a novel from what I have read on the subject.  You follow the way that suits you and hope it works out. I start by creating the main characters with names and personality. Then I write a couple of paragraphs outlining the main thread of the story. From these few steps I then start to write the novel keeping a list of characters as I develop them for reference throughout the novel. The rest as they say comes along as I write and think about the story as the weeks and months pass by. In the back of my mind I am also conscious of the ‘iceberg theory’ popularised by Ernest Hemingway.
